Designing "Louder and Prouder": Behind the Atlanta Pride 2026 Brand Campaign
When the Atlanta Pride Board selected me to design the visual identity for the 2026 festival theme, "Louder and Prouder," it felt like a full-circle moment.
I attended my first Atlanta Pride in 2019 while a student at Georgia State University. Over the years, my connection to this community has evolved in countless ways, but my passion for visual storytelling has remained constant. Getting to use my creative background to serve the very community that shaped me has been an incredible honor.
Here is a look inside the creative process, the campaign deliverables, and what it took to bring this festival identity to life across Metro Atlanta.
The Vision: Capturing the Spectrum of Pride
Being "louder and prouder" manifests differently for everyone. It shows up in those marching in the streets, organizers hosting mutual aid events behind the scenes, creators sharing queer art, and leaders advocating in professional workplaces.
To capture this full spectrum, I drew inspiration from historic LGBTQ+ activism posters, modernizing the visual language into bold, contemporary graphics that people want to wear and celebrate in 2026.
The Deliverables: An End-to-End Event Ecosystem
A citywide celebration requires a unified visual strategy. I developed an end-to-end design system that carried the "Louder and Prouder" message across physical, digital, and promotional spaces:
Festival Campaign Identity: Custom theme logo lockups, color strategy, graphic elements, and typography guidelines.
MARTA Motion Advertising: Custom triptych digital ads featuring video editing and motion graphics displayed across transit hubs.
Apparel & Festival Merchandise: T-shirt designs, official festival merchandise, and print signage.
Complete Event Ecosystem Branding: Unified design language connecting pre-festival promotions, the VIP Sponsor Reception, the official Kickoff Party at Georgia Aquarium, Piedmont Park festival grounds, and the Atlanta Pride Parade.
In the Press: Featured in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution
I was thrilled to see the campaign featured in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (AJC), highlighting how the "Louder and Prouder" theme reflects the diverse ways people show up for the queer community in Atlanta.
"My role in Atlanta Pride and the queer community has evolved over the years, but my passion and creativity have always been inside me. It is an incredible honor to use my design background for something that carries such a massive impact for our city."
